Mental Health Fund

True Patriot Love’s Mental Health Fund supports projects that improve access to mental health care and support services for Canadian Armed Forces service people, Veterans and their families.

About the Mental Health Fund

The intensity of military service, its emotional and physical demands, and the potential of injury and loss of life are huge burdens for an individual to carry and can also impact their family members. The impacts of service can also continue after service ends.

We recognize the mental and emotional toll of service. Through the Mental Health Fund we support community-based programs to help to bridge the gaps in the system to ensure that no military member, Veteran, or family member is left to navigate recovery or transition alone.

To support Canada’s military and Veteran community at every stage of their journey, True Patriot Love’s Mental Health Fund provides grants to support programs that:

  • Work to increase the accessibility and continuity of mental health care for military families
  • Provide peer support for Veterans and serving members of the Forces
  • Expand availability of supports for spouses, parents, children and caregivers
  • Support rehabilitation, recovery, and well-being
